  • Mark Lavelle

    CEO, Magento

    Mark became CEO of Magento Commerce in November 2015, after serving as senior vice president of product for eBay Enterprise. Previously, Mark held a number of leadership positions within eBay Inc., including SVP of strategy and business development for both eBay Inc. and PayPal. Mark co-founded Bill Me Later, acquired by eBay in 2008. With more than 20 years spent building businesses at the intersection of the internet, commerce, and information technology, Mark’s background includes successfully developing and executing global growth strategies, acquisitions and joint ventures, startup fundraising and investing.

  • Mark Lenhard

    Senior VP, Strategy & Growth, Magento

    Mark joined Magento from JPMorgan Chase, where he was a Managing Director, leading digital and payments strategy. Previously, Mark led PayPal’s strategy team, developing and driving PayPal’s overall strategic direction and vision. His team was responsible for delivering key product and business unit strategies that shaped PayPal’s growth, including areas such as mobile, omnichannel, and product extensions (e.g., credit). He also co-founded Black Mountain Equity, a private equity firm focused on sourcing and making investments in mid-sized technology and service companies. He began his career in private equity and management consulting at various firms including Belvedere Capital, The Parthenon Group and Marakon Associates. Mark holds a BA in Economics from Yale University and an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

  • Paul Boisvert

    VP of Product Management, Magento

    Paul is Head of Product Management for Magento. He has been working at eBay Inc. since 2011 and joined Magento in 2012. Prior to joining eBay Inc., Paul led Product Management for Yahoo! Small Business inclusive of the eCommerce, hosting, business mail and domains businesses serving over 1 million small businesses.

  • Steve Fusco

    VP, GM of North American Distribution, PayPal

    As the VP, GM of North American Distribution for PayPal, Steve leads the team responsible for developing commerce enabling relationships with millions of small businesses in North America, as well as the network of global technology platforms partners that enable them.

    Steve joined PayPal in 2011 to lead the Client Services team for large enterprises where he was chartered with bringing eBay’s vision of commerce to some of the largest and most influential brands in the world. Prior to joining PayPal, Steve served in a variety of business management roles within Citigroup’s Global Consumer Group. His responsibilities included managing Manhattan’s Upper East Side retail banking network as well as Citigroup’s affluent credit card business.

  • Paul Keen

    Chief Information Officer, Dick Smith

    Paul is the CIO at Dick Smith leading development and infrastructure for 400 retail and online stores in Australia and New Zealand. He leads a cross-functional internal team responsible for the ERP, digital, supply chain and POS managing revenues in excess of $1.4 billion. Paul holds an MBA from MGSM and has been a finalist for CIO of the year twice in the last three years.

  • Gary Wheelhouse

    Chief Digital Officer, Harvey Norman

    For 24 years, Gary has been with Harvey Norman working in both bricks and mortar, and online, focusing on delivering results. Gary is currently CDO at Harvey Norman. He is responsible for the company’s digital strategy, taking ownership of all online and digital activity. Harvey Norman’s digital strategies address customers, stores, their people, and suppliers, increasing customer acquisition, conversion and retention. Harvey Norman won Best Mobile Store 2012, and Best Multichannel Retailer 2013 by the Online Retail Industry of Australia

  • Rania Awad

    GM eCommerce & IT, Pharmacy 4 Less

    Rania started her online pharmacy, Your Chemist Shop, in 2004. What began as a small experiment, quickly developed into a thriving business. In 2014, Your Chemist Shop was acquired by a large pharmacy chain, Pharmacy 4 Less. Rania is currently the e-commerce director for the brand, helping in the execution of their very exciting e-commerce strategy. Rania completed a diploma in digital marketing in 2009 and an MBA at the AGSM, UNSW in 2013. Rania is currently extending her MBA qualification with a Technology specialization.

    David Geisinger

    Head of Retail Innovations & Product Marketing, Magento

    Over his 20 year career David has gone from software engineer to marketing strategist to start-up entrepreneur and small business CEO to Fortune 200 company executive. David is active in the venture capital, innovation, and marketing scenes in both Silicon Valley and New York.

    David holds board positions at Worth Motorcycles, a nonprofit, evidence-based organization teaching New York City’s at-risk youth and young offenders the art of vintage motorcycle restoration, as well as Ablemade, a philanthropic eCommerce retailer where a portion of each exclusive product sold is used to support charitable causes and initiatives. He continues to build his patent portfolio with the most recent coming in late 2014.

    When Ash Howard first joined the family collectables business the first thing he did was burn his suits and head to the nearest surf store to stock up on his new uniform – boardies, tees and thongs. Now eight years on, a twenty-person army of self-confessed geeks help Ash run the Popcultcha empire. Consisting of the Geelong-based bricks and mortar retail store, extensive online store and wholesale arm, Ikon Collectables, Popcultcha delivers all sorts of merchandise from $8000 life-sized Terminators to Game of Thrones figures to hardcore fans and otaku dabblers across the globe.

    Keith is the Head of Product Design and UX for Magento. Keith has been leading the design efforts for Magento 2 and related experiences since joining Magento in 2014. Keith’s passion is making the complex simple and intuitive, and is always looking for new insights. He has extensive experience in application design and commerce with companies like Google, Dell and eBay.

    Bart has 15 years of eCommerce experience, starting at, where he led a variety of teams during the early, hyper-growth era. Bart recently joined DCKAP, after working 2+ years as the Head of Customer Success with Magento. He has a unique perspective gained through continuously building impactful teams, and listening closely to clients – many time top brands around the world. Bart earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Utah in Mass Communications.

    Dean is the Co-Founder and CEO of GlamCorner, Australia’s largest online designer fashion rental business. After completing a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Finance at the University of Sydney, Dean spent the first four years of his career as an investment banker. After completing an Executive Management Program at Columbia Business School, Dean left his investment banking career in 2014 to focus on GlamCorner full-time. The company raised a $500,000 Seed investment from AirTree Ventures in April 2015.

    Alan joined the Magento team mid 2013 focusing on the new Magento 2 platform. Alan is now responsible for the integration of several Magento related initiatives, such as integration with order management and in-store retail associate tools. Prior to Magento, Alan grew up in Melbourne, Australia, joining eBay in 2011 to lead the team that rewrote the eBay distributed search engine from the ground up.

  • Aaron Krass

    Aaron is a Senior Solutions Consultant for Magento where he focuses on various technologies including Magento Enterprise, Magento Order Management and Magento Point of Service. Since joining Varien in 2010, Aaron has been a key partner and strategist for some of Magento Enterprise’s largest and strategic customers. He has worked in a number of capacities surrounding the Magento product including project management, solutions architecture, and sales engineering.

    A Magento Certified Solution Specialist, Steve has worked with the Magento platform for over five years in a number of roles, including Project Manager, Product Owner, and Business Solutions Architect. Now a Magento U instructor and subject matter expert, Kukla teaches and consults merchants regularly throughout the United States and Europe, focusing primarily on business operations, requirements gathering, and the basics of front-end development.

  • Timothy Lee

    VP, Global Strategy & Head of China, SingPost eCommerce

    Timothy is Vice President of Global Strategy at SingPost eCommerce, a part of the Singapore Post Group, which is backed by the Alibaba Group. He heads up strategic initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, alliances, payment services, and China. He has 18 years of experience managing global eCommerce, and has lived most of the past 10 years in Asia. Before he moved to Asia, he headed up the global eCommerce teams of both Visa and American Express. He has also done strategy consulting at PwC and launched multiple start-ups in Silicon Valley. He holds seven eCommerce related patents. He received his MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg school and his economics degree from U.C. Berkeley.

    Head of Quality Management and Technical eCommerce Consultant, Netz98 new media GmbH

    Ralf has been working at netz98 since 2009 and started as Technical Project Manager to support the project teams in high level B2B eCommerce projects. He established a sophisticated quality assurance system within netz98 and became Head of Quality Management in 2012. Today he is also a Technical eCommerce Consultant and supervises the requirements of engineering processes and developing processes for all netz98 projects. With his understanding of business requirements and technical solutions, Ralf supports netz98’s strategic approach to new technologies and opportunities such as Magento 2.

    Alisson is the Head of Development at Netstarter leading a team of 35 certified Magento developers. Working with clients such Barbeques Galore, Petbarn, Camilla, Glue Store, The Athlete’s Foot and Converse, Alisson has gained a wealth of experience architecting high performance solutions for omni-channel retailers. Alisson was also the solution architect for the first Magento 2 Edition implementation to launch globally for Venroy. As an avid motor enthusiast he has been heavily involved in car clubs and grass roots motor sport, bringing deep understanding of the Australian automotive market.

    Co-Founder & Creative Director, Venroy

    Theo is the Creative Director of Australian fashion label Venroy. Whilst in the final year of his Bachelor of Design at COFA in 2010, Smallbone and longtime friend Sean Venturi set out to create the ultimate pair of boardshorts. A passion project that soon went global, Venroy successfully moved into the US market in 2011. In 2015 the brand broadened its offering to include a full range of leisurewear, and launched the Leisure Manual, an online destination for fans of the brand’s ethos of escapism and good times.

  • Jay Smith

    Founder & CTO, Lagrange Systems

    Jay founded Lagrange Systems in 2012 and currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer of the Company. Jay received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Colorado State University in 2008. Jay has co-authored over 30 peer reviewed articles in the area of parallel and distributed computing systems. While at IBM, Jay received over 20 patents and numerous corporate awards for the quality of those patents. Jay left IBM as a Master Inventor in 2008 to focus on High Performance Computing at DigitalGlobe. There, Jay pioneered the application of GPGPU processing within DigitalGlobe.

    Tink is Co-Founder & President of dotmailer & dotdigital Group. He has 20 years’ experience in the field of digital communications and has introduced digital marketing to companies large & small.     Sean is the Operations Director of Australian fashion label Venroy. Whilst completing a Bachelor of Business at University of Technology Sydney in 2010, Venturi launched Venroy with good friend Theo Smallbone. From its first small run of sixty boardshorts, Venroy has grown to be one of Australia’s premier menswear brands with stockists across North America, Japan and Europe. In 2015 Venroy opened its first standalone store in Australia, and launched the Leisure Manual, an online space delivering original content as well as an e-commerce platform.

  • Gabrielle Wakeman

    Head of Digital, CAMILLA Australia

    With a wealth of knowledge in both international and Australian markets, Gabrielle has over 10 years’ experience creating and executing marketing campaigns for renowned fashion houses. Currently Head of Digital for CAMILLA, she oversees the label’s digital strategy, it’s successful eCommerce business and noted online and offline customer experience. CAMILLA has grown to a tribe of 150+ employees, experienced over 50% growth over the past two years, and has now positioned their online boutique as their flagship store. CAMILLA is on the Magento platform, and working with NetSuite and Bronto.

  • Mal Williams

    Director, Balance Internet

    Mal has spent over 12 years developing standalone Inventory and Retail systems, eCommerce, systems integration and web applications. He has extensive expertise in systems integration and open-source software. He has worked with a range of clients developing web and inventory management, Industrial Automation and Control (Micro-Controller) builds and integration into existing Industrial Metrics systems using combinations of micro-controller based measurement devices and standalone PC Software. Mal is passionate about problem solving, always looking for new and creative ways to streamline workflow processes with a focus on manageability and future systems growth.

    Max began his career with Magento more than seven years ago as a member of the Expert Consulting Group (ECG). During his tenure with ECG, Max worked with large Enterprise accounts on complex customizations, integrations and performance projects. Subsequently, Max moved into leadership roles within Magento’s product development organization including Magento 1, Magento Go and Magento Connect. In 2013, Max assumed leadership of the Magento 2 program and he continues in that role.
