  • Mark Lavelle

    CEO, Magento Commerce

    Mark became CEO of Magento Commerce in November 2015, after serving as Senior Vice President of Product for eBay Enterprise. Previously, Mark held a number of leadership positions within eBay Inc., including Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for both eBay Inc. and PayPal. Mark co-founded Bill Me Later, acquired by eBay in 2008. He has spent more than 20 years building businesses at the intersection of the internet, commerce, and information technology. Marks’s background includes successfully developing and executing global growth strategies, acquisitions and joint ventures, startup fundraising, and investing.


  • Steve Yankovich

    CPO, Magento Commerce

    Steve is a highly experienced executive, specialising in innovation, commerce, and product development. As an inventor, he holds a portfolio of 36 patents covering a broad spectrum of technology and software. In 2009, Steve created the mobile business at eBay, growing it from scratch to $13 billion in 2012. He was named a ‘Top 10 Mobile Commerce Chief’ by Internet Retailer and is a regular invited speaker for events and media. Steve also serves on the board of Rosetta Stone, numerous startups, the PayPal Giving Fund, and advises several venture firms.

  • Alex Barbier

    Digital Marketing Director, Oliver Sweeney

    Alex joined Oliver Sweeney, a premium luxury shoe and menswear brand created in 1989, over 2 years ago. He has 12 years’ experience in international Direct Marketing and eCommerce, and is currently working to re-platform Oliver Sweeney on Magento and will host our new website on Magento Enterprise cloud Edition.

  • Paul Boisvert

    VP of Product Management, Magento Commerce

    Paul is Vice President of Product Management for Magento. He started working at eBay Inc. in 2011 and joined Magento in 2012. Prior to joining eBay Inc., Paul led Product Management for Yahoo! Small Business, where over one million small businesses were provided eCommerce, hosting, business mail, and domain business solutions.


  • Dani Hepperlin

    eCommerce & Digital Manager, Brown-Forman

    With over 11 years of digital experience, Dani has launched three eCommerce sites across the sporting, entertainment and liquor industries here in Australia & Germany. She has a passion for great end-to-end customer experiences (CX) in both B2C and B2B channels. Currently, Dani is Digital & eCommerce Manager at Brown-Forman, home to Jack Daniel’s – one of the most recognisable and loved brands in the world.

  • Robert Moore

    Head of Magento Analytics, Magento Commerce

    Robert is the Head of Magento Analytics at Magento Commerce and the Chairman of Stitch. He was previously co-founder and CEO of RJMetrics, a SaaS business intelligence company with the mission of inspiring and empowering data-driven people. RJMetrics was acquired by Magento Commerce in 2016.

    Moore’s writing about technology, startups, and data has appeared in The New York Times, Forbes, TechCrunch, VentureBeat, and numerous other publications.

    Outside of the tech scene, Moore is an improv comedy performer at Philly Improv Theater and a Trustee of the Glassboro Education Foundation, a nonprofit committed to supporting educational innovation in his hometown school district.

  • Michael Sonier

    Head of Omnichannel Products, Magento Commerce

    Michael is Head of Omnichannel Products at Magento, where he leads Product Management and its go-to-market strategy. Michael has over eight years’ of experience in commerce Product Management and Marketing and has partnered with hundreds of merchants and partners on implementing successful omnichannel programs.

  • Jonty Sutton

    CEO, Redbox Digital

    Jonty has worked in eCommerce around the globe for over 15 years. Leading teams and eCommerce consulting businesses in Australia and New Zealand before establishing Redbox Digital in London in 2004.

    Redbox Digital is a leading International eCommerce consultancy that provides strategic global solutions for brands such as Paperchase, The Conran Shop, Screwfix and ESPA.   • Simon Banks

    Director of Merchant Services & Business Development, PayPal

    Simon is responsible for leading PayPal Australia’s Merchant Services business, where he is focused on driving momentum in payment innovation amongst Australia’s largest companies.

    Simon joined PayPal Australia in October 2013 from Salesforce.com. Simon’s background includes a long history of senior management and Asia Pacific roles in cloud solutions, foreign exchange and payments through companies such as Oracle, Siebel and Western Union Business Solutions.

    Simon is passionate about the role of technology and process in how large corporations innovate around their customers.

    Senior Director of Growth & Strategy – Global Payments, Magento Commerce

    Andy is the Senior Director of Growth & Strategy for Global Payments at Magento Commerce. With more than 20 years’ eCommerce experience and 15 years specializing in payments, Andy brings a wealth of hands-on business and technical knowledge to the complex, global payments landscape. With a desire to make payments easier for merchants and consumers, he continues to push industry thinking to creatively address the future of commerce.

  • Philipp Barthold

    VP of Omnichannel Technology, Magento Commerce

    Philipp is Vice President for Omnichannel Technology with Magento Commerce. In that role he oversees the product development and operations of the Magento Commerce Order Management solution, which combines eCommerce operations with retail-store experiences. He is passionate about building agile environments in which developers can explore their creativity and enhance their professional careers.

    Digital Marketing Manager, Acidgreen

    As Digital Marketing Manager at Acidgreen, who are certified Magento and Google Partners, Mark has a proven track record of helping clients get the best ROI from all of their online marketing initiatives. Mark has experience both client and agency side and has been working with Magento ecommerce sites in the UK and Australia since 2011. Mark’s main areas of expertise are SEO, SEM, Conversion Rate Optimisation and Data Analytics.


  • Joel Chibert

    Director of Research & Revenue Accounting Services, Monash University

    Joel leads the Research and Revenue Accounting Services team (R&R) at Monash University. The R&R Accounting Service Hubs ensure collaboration across all of the University’s finance functions, giving easy access to financial specialists for support and guidance. In addition to the management of the service hubs, Joel is also responsible for reconciliation services, cashiering services, and financial management of the University’s commercial property and leasing interests.

  • Karthik Chidambaram

    Founder & CEO, DCKAP

    Karthik bootstrapped DCKAP, a commerce technology solutions company, out of his apartment in Chicago, IL. With over 10 years of experience implementing retail commerce & open source technologies, he leads his team to deliver disruptive eCommerce solutions enabling clients to efficiently provide a best in class customer experience. Karthik holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago and Bachelors in Engineering from Government College of Technology, India.

  • Jase Clamp

    Head of Product, Temando

    Jase is a customer advocate and product practitioner who is passionate about solving key retail challenges. Having managed digital strategy for high volume merchants and SaaS providers in the United States for a decade, Jase continues championing retailers in his role at Temando – an Australian founded shipping and fulfillment platform, as its Head of Product. Jase is based in Temando’s headquarters in sunny Brisbane, and enjoys spending time exploring different parts of Australia with his partner and five children.


  • Errol Denger

    Head of Commerce, Adobe

    Errol leads Adobe’s commerce program. With over 15 years of eCommerce experience, Errol is responsible for anticipating client and market needs to deliver innovative commerce solutions. Prior to this he was Director of Product Management and Strategy for IBM Commerce where he led portfolio strategy and product management. He has also held several leadership positions in strategy, retail and M&A, including authoring the acquisitions that laid the foundation for IBM’s Smarter Commerce business. Errol is passionate about omnichannel commerce, marketing, and innovation, regularly working with companies around the world to transform their businesses and deliver great shopping experiences.


  • Thomas Dodd

    eCommerce Manager, 99 Bikes

    Thomas has been a Senior Leader at 99 Bikes, Australia’s largest bicycle retailer, for the last three years and has worked in the bicycle retail industry for the last 11 years. While he is fairly new to eCommerce management, Thomas has since become fully immersed in the eCommerce growth of 99 Bikes – a high-touch sales business that focuses on brick and mortar growth and excellent online content for customer sales and research.


  • Eric Erway

    UX Manager, Magento Commerce

    Eric is the UX Manager for Omnichannel products at Magento Commerce, including Commerce Order Management. Eric joined Magento in January 2015 and has over 18 years of experience designing and developing world-class products and services at Dell, AOL, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Eric is passionate about the customer experience and Design Thinking, presenting these topics at several Magento events in the past year.


  • Shannon Hane

    Product Marketing Director, Magento Commerce

    Shannon focuses on product marketing and go-to-market strategies for the core Magento Digital Commerce product line. Prior to join eBay in 2013, Shannon managed product marketing for Yahoo! Small Business, which offers domain names, web hosting, eCommerce, and marketing services to small businesses, and held other marketing roles with Inktomi, E*TRADE, and Apple.

  • Ali Hashmi

    Director, Express Commerce

    Ali is a Director at Express Commerce, an ecommerce agency focused on providing consulting and development services to online retailers. Ali wears multiple hats including Business Analyst, Project Manager and Technopreneur. Ali has a passion for helping merchants succeed online and leads a team of Magento enthusiasts who are always ready to solve interesting challenges.

    Ali holds a Master’s in Engineering from George Washington University coupled with an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University. He is also an Adjunct faculty member with Capella University, School of Business.


  • James Horne

    Director, Balance Internet

    As an Internet Solutions Architect and active online retailer, James has been building websites for over 20 years. In 1996, he sold his first product (a music CD) online via and eCommerce system built in open source software. He is passionate about enabling Australian brick and mortar retailers to move into the online space and develop omnichannel strategies to ensure continued growth. James has extensive experience in enabling Australian Franchise Groups to include an online solution to benefit all franchisees and has been an active member of the Franchise Council in Australia for over eight years.

  • Nick Hull

    Manager of Strategic Accounts & Partnerships, eWave Australia

    Nick Hull is the Manager of strategic accounts and partnerships for eWave Australia – one of Australia’s leading Commerce Agencies. Nick is an experienced digital commerce leader having advised many of the world’s largest brands on their digital commerce strategy. This has included helping brands such as Nike, Canon, Kennards Hire, Staples, Cochlear. Nick is incredibly passionate about helping businesses of all sizes grow through the strategic use of digital commerce enabled experiences.

  • Alan Kent

    Magento Chief Architect, Magento Commerce

    Alan joined the Magento team mid 2013 focusing on the new Magento 2 platform. Alan is now responsible for the integration of several Magento related initiatives, such as integration with order management and in-store retail associate tools. Prior to Magento, Alan grew up in Melbourne, Australia, joining eBay in 2011 to lead the team that rewrote the eBay distributed search engine from the ground up.

    Sr. Director of Product Management, Magento Commerce

    Doug is Senior Director of Product Management at Magento. He has over 15 years of experience in product management, creating eCommerce and retail solutions with companies including Magento, ProfitLogic, Allurent, Netsuite, and Oracle.

  • Bob Meixner

    Head of Solutions Consulting – North America, Magento Commerce

    Bob is the Head of Solutions Consulting at Magento in North America. Prior to joining the organization in 2013, Bob worked in Oracle Corporation’s Retail Global Business Unit where he focused on helping merchants get better control over their omnichannel customer experiences. With a decade of experience in the ecommerce and customer experience management industries, Bob has a thorough understanding of how technology can be applied to some of the biggest challenges merchants face today. Bob is based in New York City.

  • Alexandra Mills

    CEO of Product, Lux Group

    Alexandra is the CEO of Product for Lux Group, where she has direct responsibility for Brands Exclusive, The Home, TheActive and pop. She joined Lux Group in June 2012 as CEO of The Home and pop, and under her leadership, revenue of The Home has grown more than 400 percent. Today, Lux Group’s homewares businesses generate more than $30 million annually. In December 2014, Alexandra was appointed CEO of all product sites within Lux Group, which entailed adding designer fashion outlet Brands Exclusive and premium sports retailer TheActive to her portfolio of sites.

    Alexandra started her career at the tender age of 17 as a professional ballet dancer, which she believes has shaped and perfected her leadership skills, and the twirling days taught her the importance of discipline, attention to detail and team work.

  • Armin Nehzat

    Digital Services Specialist, Nestle S.A.

    Armin is a Digital Services Specialist at Nestle S.A. As head of digital delivery for Nestlé Oceania division, Armin is responsible for the strategic direction, innovation, security and sustainability of 57 branded assets and 8 eCommerce solutions. In his 12 years of project management experience, he has served as the technical point of contact for senior business leaders, serving as an important conduit between the valuable data generated online and its business applications.

  • Sean Pieres

    Director, MindArc

    Sean is the Director of MindArc, which focuses on eCommerce growth for leading international retailers. Sean has a BA in Design Computing (USYD), a development coding background and has been recently awarded certification in becoming a Magento Solutions Specialist. MindArc was also awarded becoming Magento Silver Partner in 2015 (only 1 of 10 in Australia).

    Working with names like Manning Cartell, Politix and Hello Molly, he has considerable experience launching, growing and integrating fashion brands into fast preforming, scalable and secure technology.


  • Avi Pollak

    Operations Manager, Pearson’s Florist

    Flowers are in Avi’s blood. As a third generation florist, Avi has worked in the family business since he was 14. Whilst studying Commerce at UNSW, Avi joined the business full-time working in a variety of roles over the last 10 years. Currently in the position of Operations Manager, Avi is rersponsibile for progressing the digital aspects of the business including eCommerce, marketing and HR.


  • Osric Powell

    Sales Director, Australia, Barilliance

    Osric has over 20 year’s sales experience providing technology based solutions that help companies to embrace eCommerce and grow their businesses online. Prior to relocating to Australia from London he worked with brands like Buyitdirect Group, Boden, Ben Sherman, Lovehoney, Next PLC, and others to improve their online performance. He is now using that experience and expertise to help retailers develop their online personalisation capabilities through the Barilliance Personalisation Suite which counts Kitchenwarehouse, LG, Tarocash, Surfstitch, Gluestore, Autodesk, Princess Polly, Kidstuff and many others as customers.


  • Peter Ratcliffe

    Head of Digital, The Retail Apparel Group

    Peter has spent the last 3.5 years in the pivotal role of heading up the digital area for The Retail Apparel Group, home to the well-known menswear brands – Tarocash, yd, Johnny Bigg, and Connor and women’s active wear brand – Rockwear. Leading a team of dedicated professionals, he successfully launched all menswear sites for the brands, and are now in the process of re-platforming all sites to Magento 2.
    Peter has completed studies in a variety of business disciplines including Business, Leadership and Project Management through Melbourne Business School, Southern Cross University and other recognised educational institutions. He regularly travels internationally to learn about emerging technologies, digital and retail best practices.

  • Bhavin Rawal

    Head of Magento Marketplace & Xcelerate, Magento Commerce

    Bhavin is Head of Magento Marketplace & Xcelerate Tech Partner Program at Magento Commerce where he leads the teams responsible for E2E buyer & seller experiences on marketplace platform as well as tech partnerships. By engaging deeply with the entire global Magento community, Marketplace & Xcelerate teams champions the mission of making discovery & purchase of high quality Magento extensions & other partner products, a complete delightful experience for Magento customers.

    Before Magento, Bhavin played product and technology leadership roles at various companies in SF Bay Area. Most recently, he was at Intuit Inc. leading a product organization within the Intuit Developer Group where his team launched & scaled Intuit’s developer experience and app store.

  • Howard Rybko

    CEO, Syncrony

    Howard graduated with a medical degree in the early eighties. Two years in military research ignited a passion for computers that lead to him starting a networking company in 1985. In 1999, he established Syncrony, a digital agency specializing in web development and custom software. He developed Syncrony’s first ecommerce platform in the early 2000’s and retired it ten years later to focus exclusively on the Magento platform. Howard currently specializes in SEO and online marketing.


  • Peter Sheldon

    Vice President of Strategy, Magento Commerce

    Peter is a well-known industry expert in eCommerce and omni-channel technology, having previously held the role of Vice President and Principal Analyst at Forrester Research where he spent 5 years leading Forrester’s global research on digital commerce technologies, helping to challenge the thinking and lead change for eCommerce executives undertaking major digital transformation and commerce technology programs.

    Today Peter leads corporate strategy and business development for Magento, the leading provider of open omni-channel commerce to retailers, brands and branded manufacturers with over $50B in gross merchandise volume transactions processed annually by a community of more than 250,000 online retailers.

  • Tony Simon

    Strategic Partnerships, Mailchimp

    As head of Strategic Partnerships at MailChimp, Tony and his team design, build, and manage the programs that power MailChimp’s partnerships. He works with software developers, creative agencies, and everyone in between to build powerful solutions for MailChimp’s e-commerce customers. When he’s not flexing his people skills around the office, Tony can be found consuming and creating podcasts in suburban Atlanta.

  • Eugene Tulika

    M2 Architect, Magento Commerce

    Eugene has been a part of Magento Commerce family for over 6 years. He started as an ECG consultant and extensions developer, and created part of the first Magento U training. Currently, he works as Magento framework architect, focusing on key components, such as API, CLI, Composer integration, Cloud, AMQP integration.
